Plump local mussels steamed with leeks, cream and Absenthe (the intoxicating liqueur that fueled the creativity of the Impressionists). Unbelievably good! $12
Newfoundland Game Trio
3 local game favourites: a tasty mini rabbit pie, crispy partridge & partridgeberry chutney cigars (rolled in phyllo pastry and baked) & moose pate served with homemade pickles and crispy multiseed flatbreads. $16
Be still, my BEETing heart Salad
A combination of roasted beets, our homemade pickled beets and tangy goat cheese on a bed of local arugula with Apple Schnapps (Rodrigues) and Walnut oil vinaigrette, garnished with spiced, pralinated pecans. $14
Cod Pot Pil Pil
Sustainably-caught local cod-pot cod, poached in herb-and-garlic infused olive oil, Basque style (to allow the delicacy and deliciousness to come through) garnished with a fresh sauce of cherry tomatoes and local basil (from the Lettuce Farm!). $15
Sweetheart Screwdriver Scallops
Pan-seared sea scallops with vodka-orange cream sauce and spiced partridgeberry coulis. (using locally-made Sedna Premium Vodka). $15
Main Courses
Moose Bourguignon
Tender Newfoundland moose, mushrooms and locally-smoked bacon in a rich, burgundy wine sauce. Served with a golden puff pastry heart, garlic mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. $30
Steelhead Trout a l'Orange
Grilled filet of Pitcher Farms trout with a beautiful light orange cream sauce made with Grand Marnier. With roasted local potatoes and grilled vegetables. $27
Caribou Medallion in Partridgeberry Sauce
Tender medallion of Labrador caribou with a deeply flavourful sauce of partridgeberries and Rodrigues Barrens Blend wine. Served with garlic mashed local potatoes and grilled vegetables. $32
Canard et Cassis
Crispy-skinned, roasted duck breast, served medium-rare with a gorgeous sauce made with Rodrigues Black Currant liqueur roasted local potatoes and grilled vegetables. (Mike made this for Andrea and she insisted it be a special feature!). $36
Silver and Gold Lobster Pappardelle
Beautiful ribbons of pappardelle pasta with succulent chunks of lobster in a light Iceberg Silver Rum and local basil cream sauce. Topped with Canadian Golden Caviar and served with steamed asparagus. $34
Bacalao Veracruzana
A traditional Mexican dish! Pan-seared loins of salt cod with chunky sauce of tomatoes, olives, capers and chiles. Served with grilled polenta and grilled vegetables $26
Wild and Tame Mushroom Risotto with Portobello 'steak'
Unctous risotto of wild (dried chanterelles, porcinis) and tame (cultivated cremini, oyster and shitake) mushrooms, flavoured with locally-bottled Charenac Brandy. Topped with a meaty grilled portobello mushroom cap, shaved parmesan and drizzled with balsamic reduction. With grilled vegetables. $24
